Hambone has been playing senior football in Bridgend every season for the last 13 years, so there’s not many players we come up against that don’t know who he is. However, that and his ever increasing size, doesn’t stop him from getting the better of his opponents almost every game he plays. Started off his Vaders career as a human wrecking ball in centre midfield, he won a few Man of the Match awards for his determination and influential play.

A consistent niggling injury during season 2 saw Hambone ‘take one for the team’ and play in goal, and he was a great presence with some good saves, excellent ball handling and great distribution. Back outfield for the start of season 3, he has played the opening 2 games at left back (back to the good old days), winning Man of the Match in the first and backing that up with another impressive performance. His assurance at left back has also laid a platform for whoever plays left midfield to go and express themselves in attack.

Incredibly skillful, strong and with 2 good feet, Hambone could just about play anywhere and do a good job for the team, except maybe where a bit of sprinting is a necessity. Always front-runner for Quote of the Day due to his unique personality, there is really no words to describe the man, you literally HAVE to know him to understand.
