The Vaders were unlucky to lose what would have been a fair draw. The start of the match looked promising as Darren Davies put in a beautiful cross to be met with the head of Moomin Gould to get the Vaders 1-0 up within 2 minutes of the start.. Nantymoel were a little shell-shocked and continued to come under attack from the Vaders for the first 20 minutes or so. Having done the hard work numerous chances fell to Blackie who was missing just that one yard of pace otherwise the Vaders could have been up a few more.

After around 20 minutes Nantymoel capitalised on some defensive errors and brought the game level. Just when they thought they were getting on top Striker Ieuan Morris shut them up again with a wonderful strike from 18 yards.

Five minutes later Lee Isaac was taken down in the box and the Vaders had the chance to go 3-1 up at half time. Titch however struck the post and to add insult to this just before half time and after probably 15 minutes of constant pressure the game was back level with a nice strike from the unmarked right winger.

The second half was going to be an uphill struggle after midfielders Rich Boydell and Steve Gould had run themselves ragged in the first half and anything less would leave gaps in the middle of the park.

Soon the Vaders crumbled and had relatively no break from defending. Midfield and defence were pushed so far back that no opportunities were coming at the other end. The score was soon 4-2 after a fine strike from the edge of the box which put the Vaders heads down.

Just before the end Matthew James converted an inch perfect cross from Lee Isaac to earn a consolation goal. The Vaders will feel robbed but the lack of attendance from key players didn’t go unnoticed and certainly didn’t help with rotation in the midfield area.

Not since the beginning of the season have the Vaders had a full compliment and it looks to be continuing this way which is disappointing especially with a local derby next week against the Bush which is sure to be a kicking if nobody shows up.
